Blew me away. Especially Janis belting out \u201cPiece of My Heart.\u201d That girl had some pure soul, and after listening to blues all day I realized \u2014 that is the music I like to listen to \u2014 especially during tough times, sad days, world weary \u2014 not because it brings you further down, but because it lifts you up. There\u2019s a kind of hope buried in it that can\u2019t be explained \u2014 you either feel it or you don\u2019t. Bessie, Big Mama Thornton, Janis, Buddy, Howlin\u2019 Wolf, Levon Helm and Robert Leroy Johnson \u2014 if you\u2019ve yet to feel it, try listening to any of them, you\u2019re gonna feel it. A concert movie that prompted me to order more concert movies to while away, what else? The blues.<\/p>\n
